Planned Giving

Learn the way to a blissful and happy giving.
More happiness to give than receive:
We must remember the words of the Lord who said Himself; there is more happiness to give than to receive (Acts 20:35).
Let us believe this word and seek to put it into practice for our happiness.
Jesus is our Savior, but also our example, because He was a man of the same nature as us.
This is how the Son of Man came, not to be served, but to serve and give his life as the ransom of many (Matthew 20: 28).
Jesus did so many miracles and great things for men. He could have expected to receive gifts in recognition, but He specifies that he has come to give!
The way to give:
Every tithe of the earth belongs to the LORD: it is a thing consecrated to God! (Leviticus 27:30)
It is a commandment of the law imposed by God in the time of Moses. We are now under grace! But by experience, I know that those who voluntarily offer tithes are never losers.
Jesus and Paul made it clear that whoever gives receives something in return for his gifts to people in need. This is the principle of harvesting what we sow. It is in the same order that Jesus said: “Judge not, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; absolve [pardon], and you will be absolved [forgiven] (Lu 6.37).”
A widow who gives everything she has:
Jesus, in the temple, allows himself to sit in front of the trunk to see what people are giving. Jesus calls his disciples to take a practical lesson: the rich gave a lot and impressed the witnesses, but not Jesus. A poor widow arrives discreetly, “a quarter of a penny”.
Jesus let her do it and he added to his disciples. The rich have put their superfluous, but she has put his necessities, everything she had, and all she had to live. Mark 12:44
Why did Jesus accept that she gave everything she had?
Jesus knew this divine law he had proclaimed. Give and it will be given to you: we will pour into your breast a good measure shaken and overflowing because they will measure you with the measure you have used! Luke 6: 38
What must have happened to this widow after this gift, we can think with truth: she had to be filled with food, gifts!
God looks with attention at what you give and how or with what disposition of heart you give it. Thus, this widow has had to receive a good measure that overflows.
